We fell in love with this place last year when staying at another hotel and dining at Katilya. The staff were nice enough to show me a room back then and I booked for this year. It did not disappoint. The grounds are huge and green and the reception area is huge and rustic. The restaurant is reasonably priced and the food is really good. Pool is gorgeous. Best of all are the rooms and the staff. The smallest room (suite - they are all suites) is 90m2 with a huge bathroom and stunning views. The staff cannot do enough for you. They are polite and helpful and speak surprisingly good English. Shout out to Hero and Biu and the lovely Thai/American manageress who all helped me no-end to source the scent they use in the hotel (which I now use at home and think of Katilya every time I use it!) Will definitely return

"We had a very large room and a nice balcony with a view. It is wonderfully quiet, you can watch white squirrels, swim in the pool a few lengths or relax in the warm jacuzzi. There is also a small gym with dumbbells as well as a playroom for (small) children. The restaurant offers many vegetarian options and the food is very delicious! In the evening, the fireplace burns and invites you for a drink. The reception is not unpaid for hiking guests; however, there is the possibility to start hiking right from the hotel and thus hike to the tea plantation of Phu Chasai, for example. Alternatively, the reception can arrange a jungle trekking (this is very adventurous; good shoes are a must). Katiliya Park is more of a small zoo with birds and deer. The village is within walking distance, but it all goes along the road and along the way there can also be aggressive dogs (so no recommendation). The hotel offers a free shuttle from the resort to the park."

Nice resort in the mountains - After the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai and Bangkok, it twas nice to be out in the country and have a bit of peace. The rooms are large, we had a big balcony where we could see the sunrise in the morning, and since we were in the country we could see the stars at night. It was a nice change of pace. Staff is very, very nice. Since we were out in the country, we ate our dinners at the hotel, and the food was excellent. If you need a break from Thai food, the hamburger is excellent (even though my friends gave me a bad time about ordering a burger). The rooms could do with a little updating, but we definitely would stay here again.

Quiet, nature surrounds - Private hilltop Resort. Its location is just a stone''s throw away from Chiang Rai, near Toi Slam, and plenty of attractions. Highlighted are the surrounded villas, boasting mountain views from the rooms, cold air, and fresh air, offering unshakable serenity, perfect for a relaxing vacation. Suggest Katiliya Suites The large, 100sqm suite comes with a private balcony with unparalleled views of the mountains and nature. And inside the bathroom is an extra bathtub. On-site, the Resort offers other amenities, including a spa, fitness center, a heated pool pool zone, and an atmospheric dining room. Katiliya Park Villa recommends a nature zone of accommodation, and the Mini Zoo offers a variety of lovely animals, including Thai reefs, Indian reefs, macor, mangroves, and mangroves, which can be shared as free spots to see. It’s another place to stay recommended to anyone on foot to visit Chiang Rai Province.
